Welcome to our Party Planner

For nursery and young junior children

1) The first step in planning a birthday party is to sit down with your child and find out what type of birthday party he or she wants. Then determine if your budget, can deliver that type of birthday party.

2) Remember that your child doesn't need an over-the-top expensive party to have fun.

3) Set a party time to best suit your child and his/her friends.

4) Create invitations at home with your child on the computer or better still ask your child draw and colour in everyone invitation. This will add to the excitement, make it personal and keep the budget down.

5) Confirm the time and date and make sure other adults can come along to help.

6) Check on food allergies it would be ashame for even one child to miss out on the sweets and cake!

6) Party !

For 13-16 year olds

a lot more difficult. there is still a vast age gap

1) what age are they ?because whatever age you think they are they think they are 3 years older!

2) At home: this is the deal clincher. In your home you can save a lot of money but then you have the problem of older teens wanting you to supply alcohol and leave the premises. a) concerning alchol say NO they are underage b) There is no harm in leaving the premises if they have a cool but very sensible aunt or uncle who will not cramp their fun and can act like they are not there but supervising constantly.

3) In a venue : more expensive but it gets around the alcholol problem and the adults stay because they are paying the bill at the end ( and besides its in the venues rules )

5) Turning 16 is a lot harder. You want to make it that little bit special but you dont want it to turn into an Ibiza bash. Once again VENUES come into their own. If you cant afford a venue pretend your home is a venue. Rename your house for the day and ask a couple of older men to act like door supervisors.
